Our work empowers women with skills, confidence, and income opportunities — helping them achieve financial independence and build stronger, self-reliant families and communities.

Adarsh Foundation, Gadag, established on 28th September 2018, is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering women through skill-based education in tailoring, fashion design, and beauty care. Our mission is to bridge the gap between learning and earning by helping women gain not only practical skills but also the confidence and independence to turn those skills into sustainable livelihoods. By creating opportunities for self-employment and entrepreneurship, we enable women to become financially secure and respected contributors to their families and communities. To date, over 1,000 women trained by Adarsh Foundation have become self-employed professionals, transforming their own lives while inspiring many others to follow the path of empowerment and dignity.

Programs

Women Empowerment

Women empowerment is our primary focus area, and we work actively in Gadag District to uplift women through skill development and self-employment opportunities. We strive to enhance their confidence, creativity, and economic independence by offering training in tailoring, fashion design, embroidery, and beauty care. Through our initiatives, we aim to transform women into self-reliant entrepreneurs who contribute meaningfully to their families and communities.

Our Activities

Tailoring Class for Women

We conducted a tailoring class for women to promote skill development and self-reliance in Gadag District. Through this program, we provided hands-on training in stitching, pattern cutting, and garment design. Women learned practical tailoring techniques that help them start their own businesses or secure local employment. This initiative not only enhanced their income-generating abilities but also boosted their confidence and independence.

Tailoring Class Inauguration and Material Distribution

On 28th May 2025, we inaugurated a new tailoring class to empower women with practical stitching and design skills. During the event, we provided training materials to all enrolled students to help them begin their learning journey with confidence. The program aims to promote self-employment opportunities and strengthen women’s economic independence. Through this initiative, we continue our commitment to skill development and community empowerment in Gadag.

Empowering Women through Embroidery and Aari Work Training

On 1st February 2025, we launched a three-month training program in embroidery and Aari work for women in Gadag. Through this initiative, we aimed to equip women with creative and income-generating skills rooted in traditional artistry. We provided hands-on training to help participants master intricate design techniques and build confidence for self-employment. With this program, we continue our mission to empower women, preserve cultural crafts, and promote financial independence.

Certificate Distribution Ceremony

We organized a certificate distribution ceremony for women who successfully completed the tailoring training program in Gadag District. The event celebrated their hard work, dedication, and newly gained skills in stitching and garment making. Certificates were awarded to recognize their achievements and encourage them to pursue self-employment opportunities. This milestone marked a step forward in empowering women toward financial independence and sustainable livelihoods.
